Weekly leave digest 03

August 2, 2026

Week three, I am chilling out re: summer energy at this point, and recognizing that it’s time to rest more intentionally. I think that it was more important than I realized to get through my life maintenance backlog before I felt like I could rest, and I am finally coming to the end of that.

Monday, July 27

Weekly therapy, with a focus on learning about my nervous system. I did a body scan that was so relaxing. Got groceries after and crashed from a migraine/therapy overwhelm.

Tuesday, July 28

Another meeting with my dietician, talking about appetite, and too much choice. I got the most Gina assignment ever: to figure out a printed modular food system stored in a binder.

Wednesday, July 29

Lunch and coffee with a friend from Rumors! Talked about computers and relationships and how weird it is to have a corporeal form. I worked on my website and wrote a bit while sitting at Dear Sandy.

Thursday, July 30

I had to go to Costco to get some tire pressure monitor sensors replaced, like a real adult, and was trapped there until I was too overstimulated to function. Very chill afternoon and evening to recover.

Friday, July 31

Absolutely exhausted! Played two games all day, cleaned, ate food. Actually rested!

Saturday, August 1

Early morning errand in the suburb to pick up a very specific bike light mount. Stopped at MUJI on the way back into town to get materials for my food binder!!! Saw Bernstein's wasn't sold out so grabbed a bagel, picked up my holds and some prints at Albina Library, and then some boxes at Postal Annex. I did some tidying and resting and played games.

Sunday, August 2

Very chill, mostly playing games and giving away everything I own, haha. Gave some things to some neighbors via our building's discord, and had a lovely chat with the last one who came to pick stuff up.

I don’t know how useful these are! Maybe I will try to work on them daily in a draft instead of trying to piece them together at the end of the week. Maybe I’ll want a journal style record of this time! I don’t know, I just like that it’s getting me in the habit of writing more, and leading me to work on the site to further reduce the friction of writing.
